Covid-19 Update
We know that the world has changed and there is always going to be uncertainty around events in the age of a pandemic.
That’s why we’ve designed our registration terms and conditions to be as flexible as possible within the current climate so you can feel comfortable travelling to Canberra to attend our conference.
The Kodály Australia Conference will feature some amazing sessions. While program changes may be required from time to time, we guarantee that any alternatives will be just as engaging, useful and rewarding.
As always, please check our website and social media channels for updated information. We value your understanding and flexibility.
Kodaly ACT will organise the event to be compliant with government health requirements and will do what it reasonably can to protect your health and safety and that of all attendees.
Control measures such as ventilation, cleaning and the encouragement of rigorous personal hygiene processes will be implemented at all venues.
Our conference team has an extensive health and safety checklist relating to Covid-19 in addition to guidelines enacted by Canberra Girls Grammar School.
As of April 2022, Canberra Girls Grammar School requires anyone on site to wear a mask. Out in the community, while not currently mandated by ACT Health, the use of masks is well-accepted practice in Canberra. Guidelines may change over time.
The Canberra Girls Grammar School campus is a beautiful, expansive site set amidst the leafy suburb of Deakin just metres from the Canberra Nature Reserve.
Conference venues open out onto green spaces, courtyards and terraces with views to Parliament House and our quintessential bush capital landscape.
In springtime, the high altitude climate of Canberra features dry sunny days and crisp evenings. Many hospitality and entertainment venues have heated outdoor spaces for your enjoyment, comfort and safety.
Canberrans have wholeheartedly embraced the public health measures implemented during the pandemic.
As of May 2022, over 97% of the ACT population aged 5 years or more had received two vaccine doses, and over 75% of people aged 16 and up had received their booster.
To enter the venue, you are required to comply with Canberra Girls Grammar School’s vaccination requirements and restrictions and agree to present a vaccination certificate or exemption on arrival.
Please note that no medical or health data will be collected by Kodály Australia or Kodály ACT.
We ask that you not attend the event if you feel unwell and are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, either leading into or while at the conference.
Please do not attend the conference if you are subject to quarantine or isolation requirements as required by your home state/territory or by the ACT Government.
If you begin to feel unwell during the conference, please follow the guidelines as issued by the ACT Government (https://www.covid19.act.gov.au/).
Domestic travel within Australia is now possible with very few restrictions.

Kodály ACT has developed generous guidelines for substituting your registration should you be unable to attend due to Covid-19.
If you become sick and are unable to attend the conference you may substitute your registration and transfer it to another person.
You can do this right up until the start of the conference or at the conclusion of a conference day. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details.
In addition to this, many accommodation and transport providers now offer flexible booking policies.
Our preferred accommodation providers have generous offers to give you peace of mind.
We hope these arrangements provide you with confidence when registering for our conference.
