Leader, strategist, educator, director, facilitator and coach, Mr Mathew Irving has 20 years of experience in school leadership in Australia and the UK. He is currently the Deputy Head (Academics & Strategy) at Wesley College, Perth and regularly works with leaders on academic innovation, strategic development, organisational design, learning environment design and professional practice. As a passionate school leader and conference presenter, Mathew has a desire to see young peoples’ lives transformed through a personalised approach to learning coupled with the development of enterprising skills. Mathew values the development of powerful relationships between educators, students and parents and promotes educational reforms that prioritise design and systems thinking, evidence informed practices, strategic agility and global citizenship. Mathew has served on national and state-based arts education bodies and was a national adviser for the Australian Curriculum. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Director of Education Futures Group Pty Ltd, cohost of EdLeaders Australia Podcast and convenor of EdLeaders+ mastermind.
