Kylie Van Dijk is a specialist primary school music teacher at Trinity Christian School, predominantly teaching Kindergarten to Year 3 students. In addition, she conducts a non-auditioned choir of primary school students, which is committed to performing the music of Australian female composers, leads the infants choir and has established a recorder ensemble and junior school worship band. Kylie holds a Bachelor of Music, a Master of Teaching, and two levels of an Australian Certificate in Kodaly Music Education. She is fortunate to have been able to apply her research into inquiry approaches to music education in the classroom and is passionate about seeing her students grow as joyful, thoughtful, creative and curious musicians and learners. As well as her work at Trinity Christian School, Kylie has taught at Canberra Grammar School, was the executive officer of Canberra Youth Orchestra Society, was the conductor of Canberra Children’s Choir, has maintained a private piano studio, and has presented at workshops for Kodály ACT and for the ACT Branch of the Orff Association. She is a member of the Kodály ACT committee.
