The Conservatorium High School Chorale is the school’s premier auditioned choir, recognised as one of Australia’s leading high-school choirs. The Chorale provides opportunities for year 9 to 12 students to sing and perform challenging, professional repertoire from the renaissance, early baroque as well as 20th and 21st century choral pieces. Most choristers study voice as their major or minor instrument, alongside studies on an instrument. The school community strongly believes in the great impact of vocal studies in music education. In addition to implementing a nationally recognised Kodály classroom program, all 150 students of the school sing in at least two choral ensembles. These include the weekly whole-school choir as well as four smaller choral groups
The Conservatorium High School Chorale will be taking part in a workshop with Árpád Tóth and will also be performing at the Monday evening social event.
