Kimberley Steele is a passionate musician and educator who believes that everyone has the right to access and understand music. Her teaching career has included Head of Accompaniment at Conservatorium High School, lecturer of pre-service teachers at Australian Catholic University, tutor at The Australian National University, artistic director of Strange Weather Gospel Choir and Woden Valley Youth Choir in addition to peripatetic and classroom music positions at numerous schools. She has been music specialist since 2014 at a Pre-School to Year 6 public primary school.
Steele graduated from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in 2019 and holds three degrees from Australian institutions. Her work as a collaborative pianist spans orchestral, vocal repetiteur, instrumental duos up to piano quintet contexts. Since 2015 she has freelanced as a Kodály-inspired conductor and workshop presenter. Her dual career goals are to make music for herself and to facilitate musical expression in others.
