John works as a teacher at St Patrick’s College Townsville. He currently teaches Music, English and Japanese through high school. He graduated from Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Teaching and Bachelor of Arts (Major in Music, minor in Languages). John has also studied practical ethnomusicology in Japan, Tuva, India, and Australia. He believes in using the Kodály approach to help students of all background engage in music education and has presented at the 2019 IKS Symposium on culturally relevant curriculum in Australia.
